Pilar Cyst (Trichilemmal Cyst)
Definition
Keratin-filled cyst from the outer root sheath of hair follicles
Common on the scalp, firm, mobile, lacks a central punctum
Often misdiagnosed as epidermoid or sebaceous cysts
Epidemiology
Middle-aged females most affected

Symptoms
Usually asymptomatic, but can cause discomfort if inflamed or infected.
Management
